Hi, I’m Luisa.
I like to find creative ways to tell stories and make art with data.
I spend most of my weekday hours between 9-5 making tools for other people to make cool and useful maps.
When I’m not looking at screens designing, coding, or wrangling data, I’m drinking coffee, getting outside, or working towards my goal of creating a hand-made wardrobe.
Here are some of my recent data projects that I’m excited about.
A hand-made quilt using data of all the books I read in 2023.
A scrolly-telling piece about how segregation plays out in schools today.
A set of coasters about the Colombian coffee trade.
A set of fundraising flyers for the Caroline Center in Baltimore.
An infographic about how a COVID-19 test is collected at a state level.
