World Cup Player Origins
After watching the World Cup in the fall of 2022, I was curious about whether all players played for the teams for their birth country. I knew anecdotally that this wasn’t always the case, so I decided to dig into the details. I manually collected data from Wikipedia by looking through the World Cup squads and logging both the team a player represented in the World Cup as well as where they were born.
Personally, this was my first end-to-end data visualization project. I wanted to attempt building something with very little “formal” knowledge, so that as I embarked on a Data Viz learning path I could mark my growth.
